The first McDonald’s restaurant was started in 1948 by Maurice (Mac) and Richard McDonald in San Bernardino. They bought appliances for their small hamburger restaurant from salesman Ray Kroc, who was intrigued by their need of shake mixers. Ray seeing the enthusiasm and potential bought the rights to franchise the brother’s restaurant across the country and opened first
franchised McDonald’ in Des Plaines, Illinois. They wanted to build a restaurant system that would be famous for providing food of consistently high quality and uniform methods of preparation. They wanted to serve fries, burgers, shakes that just tasted the same everywhere.
Minute maid was founded in 1945, it is owned by the Coca-Cola company. It was the first company to market concentrated orange juice, allowing it to be distributed throughout the USA. And is serving Floridian Orange juices for the past 74 years and is still ruling in the orange juice industry worldwide.
Tupperware was developed by Earl Silas Tupperware in 1946. Tupper had already invented the plastic for Tupperware in 1938 but the product worked with the emergence of sale through party setting. The patented “burp- seal” is a famous aspect of Tupperware, which distinguished it from its competitors. Still Tupperware is the first choice of homemakers in kitchenware all across the globe.
American Broadcasting Company
American Broadcasting company was founded in October 1943, it first started as a Radio network then ventured to television.
ABC now owns eight TV stations and has more than 230 affiliated stations. The ABC Television Group is owned by Disney. At present, its chairman is Robert A. Iger.
